My story is not much different than your own. I’ve always struggled with my weight and eventually found myself at age 25 in my doctor’s office with high cholesterol, high blood pressure and on my way to becoming a diabetic at 220 pounds. I remember thinking to myself, “I’m only 25. How could this be?” It was at that moment I knew I needed to make a drastic change. I stopped eating junk food, started cooking for myself, and started walking everywhere. When I was comfortable, I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. After that, the weight started to fall off. I lost a total of 100 pounds, but more importantly, I found myself again. I used food to cope with my emotions, stress, and the fact that I didn’t like not only the way that I looked but how I felt about myself. After my weight-loss journey, I became a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and have been helping others along the way ever since. It is not my goal to help you lose weight. That is just an important added bonus. It is my mission to help you realize just how strong and beautiful you are as a whole, both inside and out!
